Back to Work

I’m leaving for work in a few minutes.  The week of being stuck in bed is over.  I’m still using the walker, but moving around isn’t quite as painful.

Once I arrive at the office, I’ll do my best to prop my leg up and get to work.

Wish me luck.

  1. Did you get your little knee bike yet? My wife really wanted one of those when she was having a bad flare-up of plantar fasciatis. It looks really neat. I wanted her to buy one so I could take it apart and rebuild it again as soon as she was done using it.

  2. James,
No, I don’t have the “Knee Rover” yet. It should arrive in the next couple of days. I’ll post pictures when I’ve got it.

Yesterday was horrible. Being upright caused swelling, even with my leg propped and with a healthy dose of ibuprofen. The splint caused a lot of discomfort with the swelling. I left work early and stayed in bed for the evening.

I woke up at 2:00am with a lot of discomfort from the splint. I took it off, and fell asleep peacefully for another four hours. This is the first time I took it off. I wasn’t supposed to, but I have an appointment on Thursday anyway.

I left it off. I’m working today and I’m much more comfortable. I am paranoid about being clumsy and hurting myself, but so far, all is well.
