Local Snow Ride Tomorrow?

Does anybody locally want to go for a 25-35 mile ride tomorrow in the snow?  There is a century group ride going on, but I’m not ready for that.

It would be a slower paced ride.  If it’s somewhere near Charlestown, I would ride my recumbent, otherwise I’d have to ride Nermal (because he fits on my car).  If I ride Nermal, I will be slower.

Anyway, if you are interested, contact me, and we can try to arrange something.

I feel bad, I didn’t ride today.  I woke up late for the second time this week, and really didn’t want to be late to work so soon after starting a new job.

What Happened to My Push-Up Plan?

I had started out doing the one-hundred push-up plan.  I kept falling behind in the days due to other obligations and laziness.

I now feel I’ll fallen far enough behind, that I can’t continue it.  I will begin it again in a week or two when things calm down.

On the bright side, I rode my bike part of the way to work today, and my weight seems to be trending downward again.

Two Days in a Row, Then DOH!

I rode in slush in slow for a partial commute on Monday.  I rode in cold weather for the same partial commute yesterday.  I met up with Bikeolounger yesterday,  and picked up some reflective vinyl.  I spent a little time applying it to my bike last night.

I intended to ride the partial commute on my Nermal every day this week.  The twelve-mile round-trip is not difficult.  I packed my work clothes and laptop into my panniers, and went to bed.

I woke up two hours late today, and had a morning meeting I had to get to.  So much for riding today.

I’ll be back on the bike tomorrow though.  If I oversleep tomorrow, I’ll ride anyway, I don’t have any meetings scheduled.

Snow Showers

It’s December, and there have been snow showers on and off throughout the day.  So what did I do?  I rode my bike!  I actually only rode from 6 miles away from work, so 12 mile round-trip.

The ride in was pretty wet, with some rain mixed in.  The ride home was colder, and I could hear the precipitation hitting my helmet.  It was actually a fun ride.  There was no snow accumulation on the roads, so I wasn’t too worried about ice.

Tomorrow is supposed to be dry, and I think I’m going to do the six-mile ride again.

I enjoyed the biking portion of my commute much more than the driving portion
