Another week with a slight gain. Several factors have caused this.
- Thanksgiving
- Less riding due to colder weather
- Laziness
I had been pretty bad about drinking beer also, but have switched over to a nice cup of hot tea in the evening. That should help.

Sometimes. I drink coffee during the day. I don’t have high blood pressure, so I’m not giving up caffeine. I sometimes avoid caffeine in the evening so that I sleep better.
I have sleep apnea, and found that starting CPAP therapy helped me lose some weight. I sleep at night, now, instead of passing out periodically. If you snore or quit breathing at night, and haven’t tested for apnea, it may be worth a talk with your doctor.
