Nice Sunday Ride

I planned out a 90-mile bike ride for Sunday.  I haven’t been riding enough, and figured this was one way to get back into it.

I didn’t complete the entire route.  I was out of steam at 60 miles.   A friend picked me up outside of Borden and drove me home.

I rode this route:

This ride was great, and has helped get out of my slump.  I was able to ride into work today also.

I did take some wonderful pictures along the way.

  1. Nice pics and it looks like a nice course. It may not happen much during the school year, but I’m definitely doing some S.IN rides next summer. It looks too good to pass up. I know several club rides are exploring your terrain. And although you didn’t do 90, you DID do 60 and were fresh enough to commute, so that’s great.

  2. Joe,

I really didn’t time it. My bike computer said it was over 5 hours, but it doesn’t count time I’m stopped. I did take several breaks.

If I had to guess, I’d say 6 to 6.5 hours.

  3. 90 miles?! Holy Crap! I’ve ridden a lot.. though not recently.. and.. back when I was in great shape.. I wouldn’t have done 90 flat miles.. you’re hard corps!.. I don’t think I’ve ever ridden 60 miles either… maybe that’s why I ride trails.. that way I can have an excuse not to ride so far!… wow.. 60 miles.
