I planned out a 90-mile bike ride for Sunday. I haven’t been riding enough, and figured this was one way to get back into it.
I didn’t complete the entire route. I was out of steam at 60 miles. A friend picked me up outside of Borden and drove me home.
I rode this route:
This ride was great, and has helped get out of my slump. I was able to ride into work today also.
I did take some wonderful pictures along the way.

Nice pics and it looks like a nice course. It may not happen much during the school year, but I’m definitely doing some S.IN rides next summer. It looks too good to pass up. I know several club rides are exploring your terrain. And although you didn’t do 90, you DID do 60 and were fresh enough to commute, so that’s great.
That’s great. How long did it take to do the 60 miles?
Joe,
I really didn’t time it. My bike computer said it was over 5 hours, but it doesn’t count time I’m stopped. I did take several breaks.
If I had to guess, I’d say 6 to 6.5 hours.
90 miles?! Holy Crap! I’ve ridden a lot.. though not recently.. and.. back when I was in great shape.. I wouldn’t have done 90 flat miles.. you’re hard corps!.. I don’t think I’ve ever ridden 60 miles either… maybe that’s why I ride trails.. that way I can have an excuse not to ride so far!… wow.. 60 miles.
