Back on the Wagon

Moving the elliptical into the livingroom and buying a TV seems to be a big win for me.  I can easily watch a one hour show while using the elliptical.

Last night’s weigh-in was 265.4 lbs.  I’ve lost 31 lbs.  This is the lowest weight I’ve been in a long time.  I feel good, and feel motivated again.

I plan on buying a good bicycle in the next couple of months.

In other good news, I’ve been hired back at a former employer, so my job situation is a little more secure.  However, my income will take a bit of a hit over the contract work I had been doing.

  1. So.. eliptical.. TV… Gene has the Star Trek.. how much will season one take off??

Sorry.. no pressure.. just meant as a good-natured challenge.. Dammit, Jim! I’m not a Doctor!… uh.. Bones.. you are a Doctor.. Oh.. yeah.. sorry ’bout that.

Oh.. and to other viewers.. I’m David Crowell.. but not THE David Crowell.. so when you see “Dave” at the bottom of the comment.. it’s David Crowell.. but not THE David Crowell.. clear?.. good.. I didn’t wanna cause confusion.

    Enjoy!

  2. I’ve never been a big fan of actual #s lost goals.. I like goals that say things like.. “I’ll do what I can to feel better about me.”… that helps me not punish myself too much for being human.. I remember learnin’ to drive a stick… an old VW bug.. I did great.. until I stopped and didn’t put in the clutch.. I had learned everything from watching.. but I never saw the clutch get used on a stop.. that kinda KACHUNKed by brilliant intro to the world of automobile piloting.

    Good luck!

  3. Dave, you’re going to confuse my readers. All three of them.

I haven’t been watching Star Trek. I bought season 4 of Stargate Atlantis (I’ve seen the other three), and Season 1 of Farscape. I only watch Farscape with my daughter and (soon to be ex) wife.

I had high hopes for this week, but it’s been hectic. I did use the elliptical twice (including one long session), and I hope to again before the weekend.

I’m going to spend this weekend teaching my teenage daughter how to drive a manual transmission. Maybe some time on the elliptical will calm my nerves afterward 🙂
